About the B&B

We serve you a delicious continental breakfast.Between The Parks is a special place. We offer the “simple gifts” of comfort, quality, cleanliness, privacy, and friendly, personal service – “grownup” standards at a fraction of the cost of a comparable Manhattan hotel room. We try to be accurate in our description of Between The Parks, so we ask that you READ THROUGH OUR WEBSITE CAREFULLY  to make sure this is the right accommodation for you. This is who we are and what we offer:

  • Privacy: Your bedroom, ensuite bath, and small sitting area are right inside the front door. You never have to walk through the family living space or feel as if you are imposing on us!
  • Quiet: Your bedroom is in the back of the building, away from street noise. You won’t have a view or much sunlight, but … wow … what a great night’s sleep!
  • Speaking of sleep, the antique queen-size brass bed has a firm, box-spring mattress with pillowtop and imported white bed linens.
  • The bedroom measures 10 feet by 10 feet (3m x 3m) and contains a dresser, nightstand, and full-size closet for your clothes and empty suitcases. We can store extra empty luggage elsewhere in our apartment.
  • Air-conditioning
  • Reading lights and a clock radio
  • Wireless Internet access in the bedroom for your laptop or smartphone. If you need to print out a ticket or boarding pass, email it to us.
  • Private bathroom with tub/shower, fluffy towels, hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion
  • The highest standard of cleanliness. And all rooms are freshly painted.
  • Delicious Continental breakfast: coffee or tea, fresh-squeezed orange juice, seasonal fruit, yogurt, and a basket of fresh pastries and bagels with cream cheese and jam
  • Pre-arranged accommodation to your diet. Before you book, discuss any special dietary needs or food allergies.
  • Tea kettle in room. By special request of our guests from the UK and Australia!
  • Sitting area. Just outside your room, we’ve set up two upholstered chairs, a reading lamp, and a bookcase filled with books, visitor guides and maps.
  • Within a few blocks are a laundry, dry cleaner, valet parking garage, US Post Office, New York Public Library with public computers, 24-hour pharmacy, 24-hour cafes and food markets, and of course … Central and Riverside parks!
  • A short walk to restaurants, cafes and pubs
  • Easy transportation to all New York City’s attractions. We’re a block from the #1, B and C trains and major bus lines.
  • A host (that’s me!) committed to making your stay in New York a success. I’m a fifth generation New Yorker, born in Brooklyn. I’ve lived in Greenwich Village, the Upper East and Upper West sides, and I raised my kids here. I’m in love with this extraordinary city – its neighborhoods, architecture, natural landscape, politics, foods, arts and culture, and the stories of immigrants who have reshaped and redefined New York over four centuries.
